Staff Vetting Service

HGM Consultants Limited provides a vetting service to provide and carry out background checks on staff or potential staff. For example, if a role requires someone to travel globally, HGM Consultants can carry out a background check that will disclose any unspent criminal convictions or if the subject is on any global sanctions list that may prevent travel and entry to other countries.

The Basic Level checks include the following areas of scrutiny;

• Identity check
• Verification of Photo Identification
• Basic Disclosure Check – Criminal Record Check
• Authorisation to drive vehicles
• Check if the person is on the Global Sanctions list (eg Government Travel Ban)
• Check if the person is ‘Politically Exposed’
• Check if the person has been the subject of Adverse Publicity
• Recent employment history (minimum of 3 years)

Should any of the basic level checks highlight any ‘adverse findings’, HGM Consultants Limited can provide an enhanced level of screening which includes;

• Open source research
• Employee/ potential employee interview to verify the context of any ‘adverse findings’
